Never attended LSU, but grew up rooting for them and attending games. It's in the blood and won't change.

HAHA. I started off at Northeast Alabama State in Rainsville, AL. Then transferred to Chattanooga State Tech Community College.
I have attended Central Texas, University of Maryland also.
I see these posts all the time. I know what the OP is getting at. My whole family is for Bama or Texas. A few relatives went to Texas A&M or Texas Tech.

as an alabama alum, i have zero problem with our "sidewalk" fans. i love them, actually. they make gamedays that much more interesting. plus, they help fill up our stadium and are loyal. who cares if they're rednecks… no insecurities here, just making a point that i think it's silly to say that someone "can't be a fan" bc they didn't graduate from a certain school.

since you used the term "root" I feel compelled to respond. Of course I graduated from AU -- as much as they hate to admit it!(until they get that yearly check)
