Just because a Bama fan starts the traditional moral, victory "offseason " thread doesn't mean that you are or have been relevant in either Basketball or Baseball.

Further.....you can combine both Alabama and Auburn......and either Florida or LSU would still win this debate the way it's framed.

If we take the best runs of each respective sport, it's probably LSU. They have had individual runs of dominance in each of the three major sports.

If we factor in the totality of every program it's tougher to decide, because LSU has also had periods of complete worthlessness in football and basketball.

Your numbers are off for LSU with SEC tittles, and claimed National titles. 37 regular season titles, not 13. 10 National titles, not 8.
LSU is also the only one that claim a National tittle in all 3. Plus, at least 11 SEC titles in all 3(regular season). No one else has 10 in all 3.

I've gotta side with my LSU friends on this.

LSU, while not ever winning a title in basketball, has a good history. 4 Final Fours, probably an accumulation of the greatest starting five in the league, going back to Pistol Pete.

In 1994, Arkansas lost to Alabama. Arkansas went on to win the national title that season. I'm fine with that. Would Alabama fans trade that head to head win for our title? The answer is simple, yes.

LSU has done more on a national stage in basketball, where Alabama is more of a regional program.

Just my two cents.

Wimp Sanderson was the only HC Nolan has a losing record against head to head.

But Nolan had more championships and final fours than Bama has ever accumulated, let alone Wimp.

Yea, his numbers were way off. Said 13 combined SEC titles for LSU. They have 15 regular season titles alone in baseball. And if they are gonna claim 1941 as a title, we damn sure get to claim 1935 as a title in basketball.

NCAA regionals aren't championships.

Traditionally, in most sports--including (for the sake of this topic) men's basketball--NCAA tournaments have had a format of four regionals with the champion of each of the four regionals meeting in a major city to square off in a "Final Four" event. And, yes, for what it's worth, the NCAA does award an actual trophy for winning an NCAA Regional championship.

I don't know why people even continue to argue with the gump. He will literally argue that Bama is the best at everything until he is blue in the face and has a heart attack in his lay z boy chair. This was just a post for him to tell everyone that he thinks alabama is awesome.

The big 3 sports in the SEC are football, football recruiting, and spring practice.

Numbers aren't off..reading comprehension, scooter. The thread says FOOTBALL, BASEBALL and BASKETBALL

Quite simply, Alabama's TOTAL WINS and WINNING % make them the best ALL-TIME...it's basic stats!..they don't lie!

Some folks would argue with a mud fence.
