Scheme is different but we have Frost and McKinzy returning. Tre Williams, Cam Toney Deshaun Davis, Justin Garrett, Anthony Swain to name a few.

So, Tre Williams is in line to replace therezie. Got it.

Is Justin Garrett going to play this fall or is he just a perennial spring game warrior?

We will really miss Sammie and Reese, but we have quality players to replace them. We would miss Therezie if we were still in Ole Ellis defense, but he doesn't fit as well into Muschamp's scheme. We replace CAP with Roc Thomas and Jovon Robinson and we no longer have a DB playing QB.

Again, AU only needs an average Defense to be a contender for the Playoff. Most people expect at least that much from Muschamp next year.

No you really don't got it.

Therezie wouldn't be a LB in. Muschamps defense. Justin Garrett played quite a bit last year so you don't get that either. Let me know when you catch up.

I got that Garrett had 16 tackles last year and didn't even play in several games.

I got that au's defense is changing schemes and that Williams is expected to take therezie's spot as a starter. I got that Williams is a good prospect and yall are excited.

And I got the part where some aubs are sensitive about their defense.

But I missed the part where Garrett had lived up to his spring game promise, so that was my question.

Nobody on that Defense lived up to their promise, due in part to Ellis Johnson schemes. There are 50 DCs in the Nation that could have made that Defense at least average. Nobody from AU is sensitive about that Defense, most realize it kept AU from contending in the SEC/Playoff. Garrett was pegged in the Star Position, a spot that nobody excelled at under EJs tenure.

Thanks. Look, I'm not trying to troll yall. I was just wondering if Garrett is still expected to be a big contributor for yall? If not, what happened to that guy? I remember a lot of aubs being excited about him

That's a little overboard. We had 0 pass rush and a slightly below average secondary. There are a few DC's that could have made that defense average and Muschamp is on that list. No need for exaggeration. Adding Muschamp and Lawson will be more than enough to offset losses to the defense from graduation.

I don't know all about AU football, that's why I'm asking. Most posters here enjoy talking about their team. But you either enjoy being a shitty poster or you just have nothing to add to the conversation.
