Its kind of funny watching Missouri people diss on St Louis. St Louis is Missouri's daddy. The St Louis metro (3 county area) provides over 56% of the states revenue and over half its population.
Without St Louis, Missouri would be Arkansas or kansas.

I don't see many Missouri people dissing St Louie in this thread kilo. I understand you wanting to defend your city, but come on, St Louie is nobodies daddy.

Meh. Read the thread. I dont bash on any other part of our great state. From KC to St Louis to Springfield to the bootheel. It all makes Missouri and directly, the University of Missouri, great. If I see someone bashing Kansas City from other areas of the south I would defend it and not kick it in the teeth. Its always the KC guys that take their little jabs at St Louis and its fricking tiring.
What I said is correct. St Louis is the economic motor for the State of Missouri. Thats just a little reminder for KC folks that like to wish away st louis while they sit around watching money and jobs leave Missouri and Kansas City and move to JoCo kansas.

I've read the thread, and only one Kansas Citian dissed St Louie, but I get your point. I try to stay away from dissing any part of Mo because it makes us look bad, plus I love the whole state. I was born and raised here. I'm also tired of the KC vs St Louie debates. It's just damn silly.
Side note: You can go on and on about how much St Louie means to Mo but you aren't helping your cause by opening up that can of worms. Just food for thought.

And FWIW, I don't have any issue with the city of St. Louis itself. My brother-in law and two of my good friends and roommates are from St. Louis. I just personally dislike the culture of the city and the "keeping up with the joneses" attitude which is prevalent there. That's just my opinion though

Alright alright, I admit that I threw STL under the bus and tried to distance the rest of the state from them for the sake of an argument. I also made a comment about the people being "weirdos" which I intended as a lighthearted joke.
I apologize to you and the other STL posters....I'm not trying to start a feud here, I like y'all. I know I'd be pissed if someone from STL did the same regarding KC so I understand your point and concede to you. That's my bad bro
