Never has there been a more ridiculous meltdown over something that has not even happened yet. Jesus.

Some of the douchebags calling themselves Aggies over there are serious mental cases. Dudes are more fricked up than Ho Chi Huahua. Embarrassing.

To be fair, if Murray de-commits it's about as big a blow as a non-on field event can be to program. If he stays committed, we probably land Lack, Lodge and several others and finish with the #2-3 class in America. If he leaves, we might finish outside the top-15 depending on who else jumps ship. We'd be left with one scholarship QB on the roster.

That's fricking devastating

It has not happened, but even if it does, who possibly de-commits because of it? Do the 247 class calculator, worst-case scenario and we still land a class inside the top 15.

We can lose Kyler, Dunning, and Lockhart, add NO ONE ELSE, and still land a top 15 class. Everybody freaking out about this is thinking with their dicks.

Sumlin is playing this EXACTLY RIGHT. Just like he did with the Chavis thing and Malik. That motherfricker only wanted a DC announcement so he could commit to t.u. ANYWAY.

This shite is all a game. t.u. has NO momentum. They are throwing out hail mary bombs and praying for some sort of traction. The only reason it was even a threat in the first place is because t.u. threw everything they had at Kyler FOR ONE frickING REASON ONLY. They needed to hurt A&M to get ANY traction whatsoever. This is just like what happens in the real business world. The party that panics first loses. Sumlin is a cool motherfricker.

In my advanced age of 43, I have found it best not to waste energy on things that haven't happened yet. I cannot control this, so I can't develop contingencies.

I like recruiting, but I don't live an die with it's ups and downs. The zoo is normally filled with idiocy, but now it's on an 11 of a Marshall amp.

The Zoo has been swamped with homos stalking teenagers on Twitter at all hours and starting threads for every tweet. Then the sheep freak out, right on cue. Pathetic.

In fairness, I hear Premium has been melting pretty hard too.

This is the beast that Billy and ol' Stall Bunny at 247 have created; convincing every semi-literate aging redneck with a dial-up connection that he can be an Aggie football insider.

The problem with that is other teams WILL add people and jump us.

I don't want to speculate where our final rank will be this year, I think Sumlin has a card in his sleeve. I will say overall a top 20 ranking in the SEC West is equal to a top 40 ranking in the Big 12.

I'm assuming Murray is thinking of committing to tu? That's what I get out of this thread.

Imagine how un-ruined my day is so far. Imagine.

If t.u. gets Kyler Murray it's going to suck for more reasons than I can count.

Using the Class Calculator, if you take Murray out, we have a score of 249. That score BY ITSELF, adding NO ONE ELSE, would have been good for the #14 class last year.

Adding Boyd/Bussey/Merritt would bump us to 260.70, a score that would have finished #10 last year.

Point is, we STILL have a top-15 class, w/ a good chance of landing a to-10 class, EVEN IF we lose Murray/Mack/Lodge. That's how well Sumlin has been recruiting.

Exactly. Which makes this late move by the sips NOTHING but pure desperation. The future of their program hangs in the balance with the shitty conference affiliation, shitty exposure, and poor on-field performance.

I love all the grown men on premium writing letters and novels of analysis on the situation. It's getting weird.

Definitely getting weird.

I guess Kyler being a legacy has heightened the drama this year. But you know if it were any school other than TU courting him, people would just be writing him off because of his size.

They'd still be writing him off if he flips to Texas as too small and fragile.

Because TA gonna TA.

I just read this:

Murray's presence around UT certainly didn't help the Horns hang on to their long-time QB commit in the class, Zach Gentry, a strong-armed, athletic 6-6, 230-pounder from New Mexico, who a few days after Murray's visit with Texas was in Ann Arbor and committed to Jim Harbaugh's Michigan program. (UT also is pursuing four-star FSU QB commit Kai Locksley.)

Article

Anyone know if there's any substance to this? Did Kyler's little trip to Austin dissuade this Gentry from chosing tu? I'm doubting it, but it would be fun to buy.
