yeah, honestly Jalen was pretty bad. Maybe his worst game as an Ag

They really keep fighting and earned a lot of respect in defeat. Can hold their heads high after this one despite blowing a great opportunity

and interestingly enough, our RPI stayed flat. We were 31 just before our game ended and still 31 now. Arkansas jumped from 20 to 16.

Yeah pretty unusual that we basically gave up 50 pt's in the first half. I was impressed that they didn't quit.
While we still might get into the NCAA tourney, I'd expect a one-and-done type of a deal, soooooo....I think I'd rather us be an NIT team this year, I think they could do some damage, earn some nice experience and honestly that's really where we belong. While a few of the games were close, not being able to beat UK, miss, arky or georgia sort of proves it. It would still be a nice accomplishment, assuming they win some games, and with the recruits we are adding...2015-2016 has a chance to be special.
What would you all rather see happen: Ags get into the tourney as a really low seed without much of a chance to progress, or play in the NIT with a chance to win a few games? Part of me wants the tourney, but there's another part that thinks making a run in the nit could be the best thing for these guys.

Honestly, I'm good either way. Pros and cons to both tourneys, and as long as we continue to improve next season, either experience has the potential to do us some good.

Seriously? Losing to the undefeated #1 team in the country who many are claiming is the team of the decade in double OT proves we don't belong in the NCAA tournament? ....seriously?

Come on. That's what you took away from my post.
And I'm not saying they don't belong in the tournament, I'm saying that they belong more in the NIT. You wouldn't get an argument out of me with either outcome.

I agree that was a bit of an extreme interpretation , but I also agree with his other point:
Winning the NIT would be kinda sorta neat, but I can't tell you who won, in any year. I'd rather roll the dice and hope for an upset or two in the big show.

We need to get the NIT so I can bust out these vintage threads

You could tell when MA had our bench in. All of yalls long droughts where against our starting lineup. Who ever yalls 3point shooter is is nasty though.

Yeah I'm not sure I disagree with this either, but I'm also not so sure that for the program moving forward winning games in the NIT wouldn't be better preparation for the following season than losing that first game in the tourney. But as you said, maybe we get a favorable match up and win a game. It is March madness after all, so surprises aways happen.

LSU just beat Ole miss. They should get into the top 50

Not only that, but this puts us in 3rd
Posted on 2/28/15 at 3:31 pm to WestCoastAg
yeah, we need to win today. If we do, we'll have a 1-game lead on UGA, OM, and LSU but UGA and OM hold tie break over us so we've got to take care of business. No slipups.
Lotta good results around the country though so the SEC is starting to look more and more like a 6-bid conference.

more relevant to our interests, OSU lost @ Tech. They are looking shaky* now with a 7-9 conference record but they also dropped into the 30s in RPI. Their downfall was our gain. We are real time sitting with a 29 RPI.
* I'm really not sure how OSU is going to be viewed. They have some great wins but they've now lost 4 in a row. They have TCU and @WVU left and if they split as expected, they will be limping into the conference tournament having lost 5 of 6 with a 17-12 overall record. ColleyvilleAg still shows them relatively safe but they are really pushing the limits here at the end
