Come on bruh. I am not a gump or a tater, so no dog in this fight. But I'd yout think Clemson's program is or has been on Alabama's level, you are delusional.

Alabama under Mike Shula was a better program than Clemson. This is not a knock on Clemson. Yall have become a very solid program under Dabo.

I do believe this. There is nothing special about Alabama. You are getting players because of Saban, who has 4 recent titles and was a NFL coach for awhile. Just winning one title will have a positive effect on recruiting.

You realize to even get a coach like Saban you need to have top flight facilities, tremendous administrative and alumni support as well as a winning tradition already in place right? If Alabama isnt that special why do we have more head coaches that have won NC's than Clemson has NC's total? I got into Clemson out of high school btw and there is absolutely nothing special about the town Clemson at all--including the campus. It kind of reminded me of a poor mans Auburn. No offense but the prestige of Alabama's and Clemson's respective football programs shouldnt even be mentioned in the same conversation.

CClemson does have top flight facilities, administrative and alumni sport. It isn't Wake Forest. I think Clemson's gameday environment is lot cooler than Alabama's, plus Clemson is right on nice lake near the mountains. To me, it is a cooler vibe than a college located in a pine forest in bama. Nothing against Bama itself, seems like nice school and campus. There is no reason that Clemson can't win titles or compete for title every year. You see all these traditianl powerhouse programs like Texas and USC and Michigan struggling to win now. So it isn't a given Bama is always going be a powerhouse. Every programs has ups and down, if they are not cheating.

Clemson is cooler than Auburn. It is a small town, that is what makes it cool, it is all about the college students, they own the town.

I don't remember Bama winning anything in my lifetime, prior to Saban. When was their last title? Bama is one of the most sanctioned programs along with Auburn so you got to take that with a huge grain of salt.

Looks like their last title was 1992 prior to Saban, looking at wikipeida they had a lot of wins, and even seasons records vacated due to infractions. Lot of losing seasons and mediocre seasons and vacated seasons b/t 92 and Saban.

5 of Bama's national titles were 1946 and earlier when there were a lot less competitive programs and it was really little more than a club sport then. Clemson was just a small agricultural / military male only college until 1965 or so. So not comparing apples to apples when you talk about long term success. And I don't see all these vacated seasons for Clemson due to infractions.

Majority of Bama's titles have been under two coaches, Bryant and Saban. So it is about the coach, isn't it?

You are delusional. Typing a response would be a serious waste of my time and energy. Your position on this matter isn't irksome--its downright pathetic.

You just a Alabama/SEC homer. alabama and auburn 2 of the most penalized programs in football over the decades yet you always bragging about your programs.

According to Wikipedia they had 4 coaches and only won one SEC title and no national titles, at one point, after 1992. Obviusly the job isn't as good you claiming it is.

This is all moot b/c Dabo isn't goign to be offered Bama job, and he wouldn't take it. He likes Clemson, think most of his adult life has been in Clemson. And there's something in them hills. lol

Using that logic, Clemson's lone title is because of Danny Ford. Not because it is a good program.

I think Clemson had better records most seasons than Alabama in 90's and early 00's. i saw a lot of losing seasons and vacated seasons on wikipedia for bama.

A good analogy is do kids go to Duke b/c it is Duke or b/c it is Coach K's program? Good athletes want to go to schools with coaches that have proven they can win.

Alabama is probably a step up for most coaches. Just not Dabo. Dabo is already recruiting as well as he can withouth having a national title, and only 1 conference title. You basically saying if Dabo is at Bama, he's going to recruit a lot better than he does at Clemson. that doesn't make any sense to me.

Mike Dubose won an SEC title at Alabama. You are a fool if you think that Bama is not a step up from Clemson.

My previous post indicates Alabama went through 4 coaches, after 1992, and all they won was one SEC title, and no national titles. I am assuming those were all highly coveted coaches, probably with bigger reputations than Dabo has at this point. He already has as top 5 recruiting classes at Clemson. Deshaun Watson, Sammy Watkins didn't go to Bama with Saban, did they?

ok, or just a guy with a different opinion. It is a step up in terms of hype on ESPN, the SEC network. Dabo not going to recruit any better there though, if he has no titles.

Saban and Meyer account for 7 of the most recent titles. It is about the coach.

-Alabama is 12-3 all time against Clemson.

-Alabama has as many national titles as Clemson has ACC titles.

-Clemson has 1 national title.

-Georgia Tech and Ole Miss have more national titles than Clemson.

Clemson was small male only agricultural/military school until 1965 or so. You basically bragging about having winning record against the Citadel. I don't think Clemson and bama have played much in recent decades. Clemson used to always have to play on the road in the early decades of football.

Again, you aren't comparing apples to apples.

What helps recruiting a lot is having a stud Qb like our Watson.

Alabama might be better if Alabama high school talent is better than SC high school talent, which is probably true. But they are competing against Auburn for that in state talent. I'd rather compete against SC for in state talent. lol

Given how hard they've tried to sell us on him l, I can only assume the #1 choice for the Bama fanbase is McElwain.

I would say the coach at Baylor, TCU, or Washington (who used to be at Boise State)
