HAHAH, j/k, but here is some news. Ricky Slade who has many offers for a 2018 recruit, is looking to be a national level RB, and he's visiting SC for JR day this month. He said that Deke Adams is his favorite recruiter.

The next two years will tell us a lot about how the 2018 class comes together.

There are a lot of variables in place that are going to play into our 2018 class.

Stud Soph DE, Xavier Thomas, was at the Cookout this weekend. 247 predicts he will be a Top10 Overall for the '18 class. In-state guy, grew up a Gamecock Fan, we lead in projections.

ATH Derion Kendrick was there as well. Will also be highly ranked. Grew up a gator fan, but he's from Rock Hill (Southe Point), so we will have all kinds of help.

It seems to me the state will put 1-2 years in a row of prime time talent together and then go dark for 2-3 years and then back on, etc. Last class I think that was really studly was Shaq Davidson's

Josh Belk is a monster for his age. I would bet the house that we land this guy.

I concur. He'll be a national recruit, so we'll be fighting everyone for him. He's very fast/quick for his size, so programs that also run a 3-4 will be after him.

Our top target at RB,#24 Overall 5* Ricky Slade was as the Pool Party Cookout as well. He also came to Black Magic Showcase. ohio st has a lot of the projections, but most of them are from guys that cover ohio st. We're in a good position here with him.

We're also in good shape with #75 Overall, 4* SDE Jayson Ademilola and his twin brother, ATH Justin Ademilola

They visited yesterday and Mangus is their primary recruiter.

Good thing about Belk is that he plays where Sheldon Brown played. Sheldon still plays a huge part in that community and even donated a ton of money for the Lewisville High weight room and practice fields.

He gave an interview today. He said SC was in his Top3.

“I like the coaches from South Carolina, especially Steve Spurrier Jr,” he said. “I got to meet Steve Spurrier just before I left. He is nice to get along with and seems like the kind of coach I would like to play for. I would like to follow the tradition of Stephon Gilmore, Jadeveon Clowney, Devonte Holloman and guys like that.”

With as much help we have at South Pointe, and Rock Hill in general, I think he's SC's to lose here.

We need to keep that Rock Hill pipeline rolling. Both SP and Northwestern produce some serious talent year in and year out. Something definitely in the water up there.

It's down river from the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers were recently in trouble for allowing runoff water to leave their field into a creek that feeds the Catawba. Therefore, I think that Rock Hill and South Pointe feed off the GREATNESS that comes from the Carolina Panthers. I'm pretty sure that sounds like science, to me.

There are two neighborhoods in that town that produce all the talent.

Chris Hope
Jonathan Joseph
Stephon Gilmore
Jadeveon Clowney
Ko Simpson
Jonathan Hefney

Just to name a few... Ben Watson came from a different part of town and only lived there for a few years. I know I am probably missing a few guys.

That must explain our lack of being able to win a championship :/

The repeating and defending NFC South Champs will repeat this year...but hopefully with a better overall record.
