Complex, strong, but finishes buttery smooth. Well Done Kentucky.

You're most welcome.

And it's pretty good for Maker's.

Elmer T Lee

I went' through some lean times when I couldn't find any in TX but they released another batch and all was well in the world again. It's my favorite bourbon, and it's pretty damned affordable.

This would fit nicely into the "What are things you are tired of?" thread.

I'm tired of non-Kentucky city slickers having access to better bourbon than me. It's really irritating. Knob Creek is my go-to and it's fine. Blanton's is better and the cost reflects that. But there's no Elmer T. Lee (which I know about via Justified, of all places) or Pappy Van Winkle available as far as I can tell anywhere in this state. There are a lot of good things about living in a smallish town. This is not one of those things.

If you run across either of those bourbons, especially Pappy, you should grab it while you're looking at it. They may be the most sought-after bourbons on the market.

They make fantastic gifts. You're guaranteed to have a friend forever.

I don't drink anymore but when I did it was a mans drink, rye. Bourbon is to damn sweet.

You're drinking the wrong bourbon? Or maybe you fell for your liquor store owner pushing samples of maple-flavored bourbon on you. Tastes about like you'd expect - bourbon-flavored maple syrup. Just awful. Knob Creek rye isn't bad at all, but I still prefer the real deal.

Nope I quit drinking before all the maple bs came out, bourbon always had a sweet finish to me is all and I prefer rye

Specs has a shite ton of ETL. I just bought 5 bottles but they got a little more expensive. I think it was 34/btl.

i do enjoy some makers 46...eagle rare/elmer T are both really good (products of the buffalo trace distillary..Eagle rare is my favorite)..bulleit is also good...i also like four roses small batch..never had the four roses single barrel...they want pappy's to be hard to find (big part of the attraction to it)..random bourbon that i tried and liked is "redemption" its mild and easy to drink neat...knob creek is good but i'm not a big fan of jim beam products
