Are their any other coaches in conference that are in over their heads?

Speaking football of course.

2 top 5 recruiting classes in a row in your first 3 years...

Yeah CBJ is really in over his head.

I'm avoiding the obvious part of this thread and saying I don't think Stoops is in over his head. He's recruiting well and they won 5 games last year. That program was miserable when Joker left. We'll see what he has the next few years.

Zook could recruit too, both are awful game day coaches.

Let Butch coach this year with these players and see if you're still comparing him to the Zooker...

Come on man.

Joker was 13-24 as head coach including 11-14 his first 2 years on the job with a bowl appearance. Stoops is 7-17 so far.

Eh, Stoops has done pretty good with what he inherited. He's recruiting better than any modern UK coach before him. The only ones really talking about the skid at the end of the season (with a back loaded schedule) were non-UK fans. He'll be alright.

Joker also inherited a team on a 5 bowl streak and Randall Cobb.

Pretty good list; but, I'd add Sumlin and, lately, Miles.

So 6-7 this year will get him even with Joker after 3 years.

Only one coach on that list is in over his head.

Stoops is doing good things. It just takes time with football, and in this particular case, when a coach inherits a dumpster fire of a roster.

One pro scout said following Joker's tenure that UK had the second-least NFL talent on a roster in the BCS. That says A LOT!
