POLL RESULTS: Predict our QB depth chart for next season

I just started putting together an Excel spreadsheet to track various data regarding our beloved Crimson Tide (I am a data analyst IRL), and one of the aspects of this include polls.
The first one is predicting the order of our QB depth chart.
Your choices:
Blake Barnett
Cooper Bateman
Jake Coker
David Cornwell
Alec Morris
I will tally up all of the responses in order and post the results in the OP.
Here is mine:
1. Jake Coker
2. Cooper Bateman
3. David Cornwell
4. Blake Barnett
5. Alec Morris
-----------------------------------
And the results are:
Rank | Name | Avg Order
1. Jacob Coker (1.37)
2. Cooper Bateman (2.74)
3. David Cornwell (2.78)
4. Alec Morris (3.61)
5. Blake Barnett (4.35)
A clear #1 with Coker, as would probably be expected. We are more torn on our #2, between the talented Cornwell and the more experienced Bateman. Given how well our OL plays next season, it would be fair to assume the more mobile of those two get the nod at backup. Alec Morris, the backup punter, comes in at #4, with many of the mindset that he will transfer out. This would be in the best interest of his own career, as he will be getting pressure from the #2 QB in the 2015 class, and our most athletic QB, Blake Barnett.
Thanks for voting! Next up will be our RBs.

Lots of undervaluing Morris in here. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play significant snaps in September.

Cornwell
Coker
Barnett
Bateman
Coker has been beat out by Winston and Sims. Once is an accident. Twice is a trend.

Though Morris or Bateman probably transfers following spring training

Coker was not able to beat out Sims who did great for us but is an athlete playing QB. I believe Kiffin stays and looking at the long run I see Cornwell getting the chance because an OC trying to get established would probably want someone under center for a few years. Sims one year, Coker one year does not seem like the ideal situation for a new OC trying to establish an offensive attack to prove he has what it takes.
Morris has been here for 3 years and probably close to getting his degree if not this spring. I doubt he goes anywhere at this point. If Bateman does not pass Cornwell he will be gone.
This is now two teams Coker could not win out the starting job. I not convinced he has it mentally to do it. Kiffin is going to push these guys this spring.

My dad and I were talking about this exact thing this morning. He thinks Bama will start a freshman. I see no reason Coker will not start and haven't even thought about it. Will definitely be keeping an eye on the race this spring.

Yeah the fact that Coker came in and over the course of one summer jumped everyone but Sims (and battled him into the season) tells me that one of the other guys will have to make huge strides forward to overtake Coker. Not impossible, but unlikely IMO

How do yall compare Cornwell and Morris?
I believe Cornwell is the much better prospect. but I have some concerns about where he is in his rehab since coming back from the ankle injury.

Well Cornwell injured his knee, never heard about an ankle injury. Should be very far along in his recovery by this point. Don't know much about the two except that Cornwell has 2 inches in height on Morris. Seems like we're in good shape at qb, all are tall prototypical quarterbacks.

I thought Cornwell was hurt so he did not get jumped exactly and he was a true freshman this past year.
Bateman is already talking about hard it is.
Cornwell is the one to watch in my opinion. The only one I think can take it from Coker. I also am concerned with Coker as a starter but we will see.
