Anyone have CenturyLink internet?

I am attempting to switch to them from Comcast (Jesus Christ, they are so awful) and everything was supposed to be ready to go on Friday but we were out of town til Sunday so we didn't have the house end set up yet.

So on Sunday we set up the modem and everything and I have no signal coming into the house so I call their tech support line and get put on hold for a good little bit then tell them Wasup and they say that apparently more work has To be done to get it to work and I didn't know why no one had contacted me but that it should be fixed by Monday afternoon and if not to call back

So I Monday afternoon comes and goes with it still not working and I call, get put on hold for awhile and get told they don't know why it isn't fixed but it will certainly be fixed by Tuesday and to call back if it isn't

Well I've been through this song and dance everyday now since Sunday and am on hold with them now and am getting ready to cancel the account and try someone else

Has anyone else dealt with centurylink? Is this common? We were referred to them by directv bc they sort of bundle together but I've never heard much about them

Also, their hold music is agonizing
