This is not a slap, as I don't follow softball that closely, but how long has Kentucky been rising the ranks? They are the only school I am not used to see in the list.

Damn, only 9 teams? I think we can hit double digits before the season ends.

wow...voters must think highly of Murph's abilities this season. Would honestly put us at 8-12 imo this early on.

The LSU girls will finish a lot higher than 19th. Torina was the perfect hire for LSU. The fans who care are elated with the direction of the program, while the fans who don't give a frick like that LSU got her for a great price

Only Miss St would have a chance.

SCAR is going to be very good this year.

We'll have a dozen SEC teams visit the Top 25 during the course of this season, minimum.

I read an article awhile back about a girl from south carolina transferring to LSU. She went to Stanford, but transferred when the coach resigned. Apparently she's fantastic. eta: her name is Carley Hoover

I just know LSU was really young last season and brought in a very talented class. I'm cheering for Torina to make murhpy's arse quit

Been a couple years. Helps that they've really invested in the program in the last few as well. Would love to see them get back to the WCWS.

Past few years but a new stadium that has already hosted SEC tournament and NCAA early round games has given them a needed bump.

Yeah ... she was the #1 player in the country outta HS a couple of years ago. She didn't want to play at Clemson, where she grew-up as a fan up there, and didn't want to play at SCAR, because she grew-up a Clemson fan and felt like she would be betraying her family somehow ... so she went to Stanford.

But I think she ripped a titty muscle last year pretty badly. Her being a pitcher and all, I'm not sure how that is going to affect her with modern surgery these days ... but if she is back to form y'all got a great player. She's a great big girl, like my height, like 6-3 or so, and she's competitive like a man.

I remember when we were recruiting her and she came by our Cockaboose with our coach during a football game - her size an d presence will catch you off guard because she is so big.

I think Beverly is going to have a very good team this year - she's a good coach and she's been recruiting well. Our new facility is a palace - we held the SEC Tourney here last year - the facility really paid-off in recruiting this year.
