You know those special moments that every person is supposed to have, for example first time to fall in love, saying your first word as a baby, first kiss, first time to get laid, etc.

Which one of these moments did you frick up completely and it end up being a bad/embarassing moment that you regret forever?

For me it was first kiss....that's supposed to be a romantic one with a cute girl and her be your first love.

Mine was drunk as shite on the tailgate of an older friends truck at 14 yrs old with a thick girl.

Mine would be my first time getting drunk. Was the night before freshmen year of high school and me and 3 buds of mine got drunk off natty in the woods. We decided it'd be cool to make the half mile walk to where the girls from our grade were staying. On the way there a cop picks us up for public drunkeness and our parents had to pick us up.

I don't understand body language so I've fricked up more "special moments in life" than I can count.

I distinctly remember, moments before I was to wed, climbing the stairs to the balcony to get a glimpse of how my bridesmaids and his groomsmen looked like. Of course I snuck a peak of the man I'd been with since being 15 yrs old. However, I had also been informed that a particular fella, who had also been capt of our state championship football team, was parked across the street in his truck just in case I changed my mind. I remember taking one more look at the groom to be and with the sickest feeling in the pit of my stomach, I walked back downstairs and my dad looked at me and said, "There's still time to change your mind." But I felt guilty about all the $$ my family had invested in the wedding, $$ that may have well been blown in the wind had I tucked tail and ran away. My future mother in law wore a black dress to see her son marry me. She was a petty bitch and his dad was an infamous serial whore-hopper.

i shouldn't have married him. I should have married the other guy that waited in his truck in a parking lot across from the church....waiting and hoping I'd figure it out before it was too late.

Biggest mistake of my life and if I let them, the "what ifs" would drive me insane.

When I was going to propose to my wife, I was coming home for R&R and had the other passengers give her roses as they deboarded the plane ahead of me. Then I came out last, got down on one knee, and said "I forgot my whole speech, but I love you, will you marry me?"

It was on film.

So, your parents didn't want you to marry him? That had to be a terrible moment for you.

I wonder what percentage of regular posters here versus the general population fall within the autism spectrum

I used to be awful at reading body language. I'm pretty good at it now, but damn I think back to my HS years and about all of the times girls were coming on to me hard and I didn't notice it

The worst one I can think of was a girl I had never hooked up with texted me one time "you know I've never been able to have an orgasm"

My reply: Well that sucks.

If being dumb to body language is a symptom of autism, then I'm severely afflicted. I love to be around people who say whatever is on their mind because I can understand them. I'm just as direct.

My best friends have always been people who don't "beat around the bush." I suppose they're deficient in body language as well.

I think I like tRant so much because people are very direct here. Some people might regard it as rude and impolite but, to me, it's desirable. Maybe we are a bunch of autistic individuals.
