I am trying to help my neighbor make a decision on what to do with her season tickets. She is going to have surgery and be out for the 2015 season. She has never sold her tickets before.

She has normally been club but likely going to only give enough to get lower level this year since she can't go. Think she is in the $62k giving range.

Do you think the following is reasonable to offer somebody as a package?
4 lower level tickets for ULM, Southern, GSU, Mizz, Ky (5 games) for $1,200?

$300 a game/$75 a ticket.

First your math is off...you say 300 a game but say 5 games for 1200.

Second, absolutely not. You'd have a hard time giving away tickets to ULM, Southern, GSU, and Kentucky. Nobody would be dumb enough to pay full price for a package without USCe and Bama.

No

Seriously, if she is that big of a fan and been that many years, she can suck it up one year and basically give those tickets away. She can give them to a different family each game that's never been to a game for like $10-$20 a ticket. Maybe $50 per ticket for Missouri.

Better question is...would you pay that? I hope the answer is no

best case IMO

ULM - $160 ($40 each)
GSU - $160 ($40 each)
Mizz - $300 ($75 each)
UK - $200 ($50 each)

so you are looking at around $800 best case scenario for the games listed, which suck outside of Mizz

Sorry...long day yesterday.

$240 per game or $60 avg a ticket.

I sold a few of my extras last minute this year for crap games and got around $50 per.

Thanks for the feedback though.

I could go to every game on that list for $50 total. You'll never get face for crapoy games unless you get lucky.

I'm not sure what to tell you if you think you're getting $60/ticket for the games you listed. If you threw an actual good game on there like bama, then maybe because you'll make quite a good bit on those to equal out the crap games. But just what you have listed, you'll be lucky to bring in an average of $30/ticket. I would be absolutely floored if you averaged getting face for all of those. Half the games you listed people will be giving tickets away.

I feel like OP got offered the tickets and figured he would go to bama and usc and sell the rest for face

You may have a little luck selling those individually but not family is going to be thrilled paying 1200 plus spending more in travel expenses to only go to those games.

Wrong. Like I said. Helping a neighbor. People on here are so damn cynical. I have my own thank you.

FWIW I had two extras myself for most of the crappy home games this year and sold them all for >face value. Not much but >.

Anyway. Thanks for the input.

Interesting to see that at best you could break even with contribution/4 tickets if you sold them all on the market. Guess that is why so many get extras/FL/away and sell them.

Giving you a hard time. Good luck selling them...I'm impressed you've had luck in the past. People are basically trying to give tickets to those kinds of games away at tailgates.

I would buy the 4 to the Southern game but those are the only ones I would want
