Damn, Fulmer was just sick tonight. And the bats have come alive, though ISU pitching is likely helping a little.

We are going to need Beuhler back next weekend. All three teams next weekend have looked really good. UCLA has started hitting the ball well too. It was sad to see Ferguson still stuck with his mental block.

Yeah I was hoping Buehler would get an inning or 2 this weekend.

ETA: Just announced that he'll get the start tomorrow vs. Evansville.

Starting or just pitching 20-30 to get ready for Saturday or Sunday, you think?

Interesting stat of the week: Vandy is 14th in the SEC in walks allowed, about twenty five walks more than #13 Alabama.

I would suspect that it would depend on how he throws today. I'd love to see him pitch on Sunday as well but that might be asking too much too soon.

Wow that stat is shocking. The walk totals for this staff are little-league-esq.

And 7 walks so far tonight. What is going on with our staff? It's definitely a cause for worry. I'm not even sure what's going on because almost the entire staff is guilty of it.

Now 12 walks. That's how you give up 8 runs to 4 hits. With 3 errors for flair. damn.

A loss last night would have been fine with me. Something needs to reinforce the consequences of giving up 10 walks a game. They will get boat-raced this weekend if the same things happens out west. Disappointing.

ETA: Looks Like Buehler will start Sunday vs TCU.

I didn't see anything about Sunday. Just Fulmer and Kili for F/Sat, and a TBA for the TCU game. I figured Beuhler would be the one.

Great start to the weekend. They looked like championship-calibre for the first time this season.

Definitely. Ellison really showed up last night. And it was great to only have to use two pitchers last night. Judging from the USC-TCU game, both will be tough games. Shame that only the USC game is televised.

The sloppy play killed us in the end. We are still giving up too many walks, and just damn. We just couldn't string our hits together. Good game by USC.

The audio streaming has been downright awful this weekend when we needed it most.

Fergie keeps getting himself in trouble. 4 walks already.

Yeah Ferguson just looks completely lost with zero confidence. At some point soon, we'll just have to go on without him if he can't put things together. So much potential but that hitch in this delivery makes it hard for him to string even 2 solid pitches together anymore.

Nice comeback against the piggies in game 1 today. I really like that we are now 3-0 in extra inning games. Bodes well, long term!

Was at the first game. Incredible 9th inning. Buehler looks like he's all the way back. Great to see.

Fulmer-Buehler-Sheffield is a crazy good rotation. I like keeping Pfeifer as a mid-relief guy In case of a rough outing by one of the starters. Buehler looked incredible, and Sheffield was good, albeit raw. Very good start to conference play.
