Anyone have Explanation of "Auburn Family" and "Auburn Man"?

I'm an Alabama fan so I'm not a member of the Auburn family. I would not consider myself and all other Alabama fans apart of an "Alabama Family". We are a passionate fanbase that are crazy about our teams (mainly football) and a minority of us raise hell if we don't win. I also think it would be weird to tell somebody I'm a proud "Alabama Man" (referring to the school). However, I am a proud State of Alabama resident. I'm a diehard Alabama fan, graduated school there, go to alot of games, and extremely proud of The University of Alabama's accomplishments in most all sports.
I think it's a joke when I hear people like Rob Pate, Will Herring, Ben Leard, Takeo Spikes, and about every Auburn fan I know say there is nothing like the "Auburn Family" and "I'm a proud Auburn Man".
To me a family is people somebody would be related to like moms, dads, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in some instances very close personal friends...
Don't tell me Auburn fans send christmas cards and birthday cards to every other Auburn fan in the world because they are apart of a "family". Or get together for Thanksgiving and Christmas at Jordan Hare Stadium.
The whole "Auburn Family", "Auburn Man", "There's nothing like Auburn", "State of Auburn" thing is a joke
I am by no means jealous of your "Auburn Family"...
So what is "Auburn Family"? Can anyone be apart of it?
And what is an Auburn Man?

If you have to ask, you aren't one-thank God for that. I wished I could explain it, but it's something you have to experience for yourself. It is real and definitely not a joke.

Alot of "Auburn Men" that were raised Alabama fans but converted to Auburn fans are usually little brothers in their "real family"... They must want to be apart of another family/cult because they are the stepchild whooping boy of their real family.
