Will Alabamas LB hire be more impressive than LSU DC hire?

Kevin Steele was fired from Clemson and pretty terrible at coaching LBs at Alabama. His publicity is from having failed. He is a pretty good recruiter at least
Can Alabama do worse? I don't know if it would be possible

Our DL coach replaced Bama's OC as HC at USC so it all evens out.

Saban had a shitty coach on staff? Why?

Apparently he had two since both Thompson and Steele were "processed" according to the Bammers. Hell, maybe even 3 after Saban finishes "processing" Kiffin to the Niners.

It's about the fit of a coach to the program and I believe Les Miles sees things much diff than most do. I think these guys together will work wonders for the LSU D. Now it's the Offense I'm concerned with not the D. LSU will be a top 10 D next year book it. Steel hasn't had the athletes he now does and the Dline coach he now has to go along with Brick who has been there and knows this D scheme inside and out. It will be a collective effort and one that will benefit LSU and it's future. Go Tigers!!

Ragland had his best year last season, Depriest has become a household name and the other lbs had solid seasons. Steeles unit performed. More importantly, he knows Chavis' defense better than anyone So it should be a very smooth transition. This is why Steele was the obvious choice. Les is not trying to reinvent the wheel.
