you're kinda 2 months late on this... BUT as a former bama swimmer i've never been more proud of a teammate in my life. i can only imagine as someone who grew up with him how you must feel. i made it to my first bama meet (at UF) in well over a decade that season, and i hope he was one of the kids i got to meet and talk to. maybe he swam in the lane i was timing. this story could get posted every day and i would never grow tired of reading it. thanks for sharing this again, but with a personal touch and

yeah, my bad. i was kinda surprised that i somehow missed when he'd actually be awarded this... i was the one who the posted the original announcement back in november when it was released.
