FWIW Chidi to LSU completely floored LSU insiders. They said it's the biggest surprise commit they ever got.
It was good work by Grimes and Miles plus some good fortune. Before LSU really got in it Chidi was telling everybody he was going to be a January enrollee. Because of that Nick and Gus used their in home visits in December. As we know now Chidi did not make it for January and liukely now has Summer work to do to qualify in August. Miles did not use his in home til Wednesday and Floored Chidi. Chidi woke up Thursday, called Miles to commit, and Miles took his commitment.
And that my friends is how you close in a big time recruit.
