I assume the coaches felt he would be a difficult get anyway, and felt their best chance was bringing him in with Cowart and Jefferson to build some camaraderie with them and those committed already. It was a long shot no matter how much 1 on 1 time he would have received. I really don't think it would have mattered what week he took his OV.

Agreed. The staff had to take what they could get.

Clearly our staff has no idea what they are doing.

Let's pack it in and be like Florida and suck

Asked KN who was a take at CB right now.

He's not sure but says all four of Carlton Davis, Javarius Davis, Redwine and Dinson could be takes right now. He's thinking its whoever decides first

That was Gus's 1 and only in home visit with Tega.

Are you sure? I think if Tega holds off long enough then Gus is allowed another.

Then he later said Carlton is the clear #1 and everything else after that is speculation.

Anyway this is JMO but based on both sites saying Dinson is a take and will decide by Tuesday plus just decommitting from UK, I think he is a take. CD is #1 per both sites so I think he's a take with the rest having to wait on them.

I think HCs get only 1 in home on seniors. For example, Coach Mac at Florida used his in home on Ivey in the December open period. He was not allowed another one in this open period. I don't think HCs get 1 in home per new open contact period. I think it's just 1.

I just saw this tweet and I thought it was pretty cool. It is all about the development!

When you get to the NFL level that rings more true than at the collegiate level.

The baseline for stars is how ready a HS recruit is for college. A 5* should be able to start freshman year. A 4* could start, but has a weakness (speed, strength, etc). You really can't compare pros to HS recruits, which is what they did.

We lead.

Unclear who we would take at our 2 CB spots.

We lead for Javarius Davis, Sheldrick Redwine, and Jeremiah Dinson. But Carlton Davis is apparently our #1 option. So who knows

While I think you're right, never underestimate the sway that a group of friends can have. If Cece and his dad both really liked Auburn and it is a close second to Oxford, then a group of friends can put the second school over the top.

Either way, I am ready for signing day to come and go.

Yeah but given the sheer number of 2 & 3*s there are The probabilty on a raw numbers level of getting to a super bowl is infinitely higher. For example. there are 6579 players ranked in this class. Only 35 are 5*s. That is 0.5% of the players in this class. There are only 320 4*s. That's only 4.9% of the class. 94.6% of the recruts in this class are 3*s or lower. That's an overwhelming advantage for the 3 and 2*s. Six 4*s or better in the Super Bowl would actually be beating the odds

KN does not think FSU is a serious factor with Cowart even with the Lawing hire

Also says Bama has no spots left for Chidi

Doesn't think it's over with Burt. In it with Godwin. Very much in it with Ryan Davis
