The announcer on Channel 11 news last night said that Saban was a no show even though he was up for the award and it was named after the Bear.

Gary Patterson won, but you would think that Saban would have jumped on a private plane, made the dinner, ate the rubber chicken, answered some questions and then flew back home.

Does it bother you that he didn't go? Do you find him repulsive because of it?

He was probably out stealing one of LSU's recruits. He does that about this time every year.

These awards never go to established coaches... Its always the new guy or the underdog.

Patterson has been around a long time and his success as a coach is just as well known....he had a great year...but Meyer took a 3rd string QB, rode him to a B1G title, beat Bama in the semis, and then won it all against Oregon lead by this years Heisman winnner....impressive....

I just don't see how you don't give it to Urban this year.
