how good of a recruiter is kevin steele..??

I keep hearing how great of a recruiter he is...and one of the main reason's we hired him. Went on rivals and the only players he recruited for bama last year was two of them.
A five star and four star. Thats i can find that he recruited for alabama ever...
why is he such a great recruiter???

He hadn't even been back to Alabama a full year. He was director of player development before being promoted to ILBs coach last January.

well...they all pulled elite talent. Their best recruiter appears to be christobol..(minus saban)

He is a much better recruiter than he is a DC. Good luck with that.

Here's my honest opinion on Coach Steele. I wasn't the most excited about our ILBs this year. Trey Depriest was awful and Ragland was up and down. That being said, how much of that was recruiting misses/lack of talent at the position? He had to replace the greatest linebacker of the CNS era (IMO), and I think he made do as best as he could. The problem is that we are used to A play at linebacker and we got B- play this year.
Nick Saban has said before that Kevin Steele is one of the best at teaching technique to the players. Obviously, Saban wanted him on staff. Ronnie Harrison, current EE, said that CKS was a big reason why he chose Alabama.

With the exception of the tOSU game our linebackers did very well against the run. I expect LSU will improve in that regard under cks.
