The recruits are still gonna be there after Miles' contract is up.

Kind of how Dinardo left a well stocked cupboard for Saban.

Pretty smart strategy regardless if you ask me. Football mostly boils down to execution and big plays and given that all teams are pretty much running the same plays betting on the team with the best players is a pretty safe bet if you ask me. Alabama in football and Kentucky in basketball are good examples of this.

The question is when are the recruits going to realize they aren't being coached up to their potential and decide to take their talent to a coaching staff that knows how to develop and use them ??

50% of recruits know where they're going by the time they're 15 years old. The battle is for the remaining 50%. The coaches' "living room" technique and hustle determines those that can be persuaded. When you have great x's and o's guys, you can win some games you're not supposed to. When you recruit top ten class every year, you win games off talent... Talent will usually trump x's and o's. The name of the game is recruiting. Period... unless of course you can't figure out how to get your quarterback to throw a forward pass... for most of the last 10 years...

Retardation aside, players that are good enough to not have to play for Arky have one destination in mind and LSU is the golden brick road.
