2015 - The year of the RB?

We've been seeing QBs win the Heisman since Ingram last managed to win it in another position in 2009; however, looking at the QBs graduating and performances by some RBs, one cannot help but think that this might be a year for a RB to win.
Looking at the SEC, Chubb and Fournette are both legit contenders. One cannot discount Elliott at OSU either - his playoff run has a lot of people probably penciling him in already.
The biggest QB threat (based off last year) is probably Boykin at TCU.
A couple of people who could dark horse, depending:
Prescott (QB) - got plenty of hype, but the end of the season didn't look good for him. Still, one has to see the potential for another run.
Jeremy Johnson (QB) - he looked very, very polished as a backup for Marshall and one of the top WRs is coming back. One has to assume any QB in a Malzahn offense will put up the numbers.
Derrick Henry (RB) - depending if Alabama continues to run by committee or not. Henry has looked solid against top flight opposition, leading some Bama fans scratching their heads why he didn't get more carries in both Sugar Bowl games.
D'haquille Williams (WR) - Duke has a shot, but we all know WRs rarely get enough to be a true contender for the trophy. That said, with JJ throwing and if Duke becomes a primary target, one cannot assume he is out of the running.
(Feel free to add your own thoughts - these are just the first few that came to mind)

I certainly hope so.
If Keith Marshall can get healthy and get his mental game right after that gruesome 2013 injury then the 3 headed monster of Chubb, Michel, and Marshall will be unstoppable.

Still not sold on him. If the Oline blocks the play well and he can pick up steam without interference, he is a terror. However, if he has to make a guy miss / change direction early in the play, he looks bad. Just doesn't look like a complete back to me yet.

And Elliot is my preseason Heisman favorite at the moment. I love Chubb, but knowing that it is Ohio State all the media is going to be all about Elliot to start the year. You gotta admit that what he did in those last 3 games of the year is bonkers.

Fournette won't get enough carries to put him in contention. Les just doesn't operate that way. The two freshmen LSU has coming in will get a lot of playing time.

2015 will be the year of the RB. With the West already established with great running backs such a Derrick Henry and a really promising future for Leonard Fournette and things can only get brighter in the East with Nick Chubb who is going to be better than Gurley and quite possibly has a shot at being one of the GOAT in SEC football. Jalen Hurd for UT had a really good ending to the season with 100+ yds rushing with an offensive line that wasn't worth a damn. Things are looking really bright for the SEC and I am looking forward to it

People were mean to me when I said this when he was coming in as a recruit.
He's been ok, but I don't see him as the same level as some of our previous RB's - at least not in the same type of offense. I think we have better pure RB's.

Chubb IMO is the top preseason candidate from the SEC.
Dak, if they find the horses to rally around him and contend in November.
Elliot from OSU certainly has produced on the biggest stage and had a stellar season.
SEC dark horses include: Hurd from UT, Fournette from LSU, Johnson from AU, Henry from Bama (and Coker if he produces like Sims did)
and of course every player on the two deep for Arkansas should pull Heisman votes.

True - Kenyan Drake probably has the most potential, if he gets open field there's few that can catch him
