1. Won 9 games in just 4 years at Baylor, including 1 Big 12 game.
2. Served as DC for a 7-6 Alabama team in 2007, before being promptly demoted in 2008.
3. Spent three years as Clemson's DC, fielding a defense that averaged in the top 70 nationally. In his three years in the capacity, only one Clemson defense was worse than #100 nationally.
4. Returned to Bama as not-a-coach.
5. Coached LBers at Bama this year.
7. He showed great reseliency in bouncing back from this:

On top of all this, he's never hit an opposing player on the sideline, like all those A&M coaches do. In short, give the guy a chance. He's not the worst coach that ever lived.

That'll be a fine departure gift from Miles when he and Alleva are fired the next day

I edited the OP to try and give full credit to the man's accomplishments. The link is worth a listen, for those who know the relevant tale of woe.

It will be sweet when the Aggies are shut down (yet again)'by an LSU defense, and a Kevin Steele defense at that.
