All the emotes and memes can take a break..there's nothing that you can post that will make us feel any worse..so lets just have a good discussion for once.

He is a good recruiter. Did I mention that he is a good recruiter?

honestly, I feel like Bama's defenses were better in the years which he was not here. At least they appeared tougher in those years he was not at Bama.

Good position coach and an excellent recruiter, sub-par DC.

ETA: He's one step lower on the Peter Principle than Kiffin.

He's a decent coach and recruiter - he is not a good DC.

Well, considering Steele has fired Brick Haley in the past and Brick Haley is our current DL coach..I won't be shocked if we get Bebe now

It was a bad move after a bunch of candidates must have turned you down. LSU deserves better then Kevin fricking Steele.

He has talent to work with so we shall see. Does Les having any real impact on the defense?

Super nice guy, great recruiter. Did a good job the first 2 years at Clemson. The 3rd years was abysmal.

Great recruiter but I am not sure this makes any sense for LSU. They could have gotten someone better in my opinion. Our LB play this year was awful. Especially on 3rd and long and the other team ran the ball.

This is exactly what I was expecting to see.

He's not good anymore

He's a very good LB coach, has coached some really big names, and is a good recruiter(he's not this ace like his bio makes him sound though).

I'm surprised LSU went in that direction, thought they could do better. Guess uncertainly drove some names away, happens sometimes. Unless he's been kept under wraps, I don't think he brings a lot of innovation.

Could work out, who knows...

As I've posted elsewhere, he's a good, solid coach who'll make y'all a good DC. He's not going to create magic overnight (guess what Auburn.. Muschamp ain't either), but he will get the job done.
