The were #1 before the Sugar Bowl. Losing their last game in the past would not keep them from naming themselves national champions. They cheat at everything.

If this were 40 years ago when the AP and Coaches named their champ before the bowls, then yes. Everyone did it then. That's not how they are awarded any more. Now teams have to go to the playoffs - I know that is hard for you to grasp considering how far your team is from sniffing an appearance there.
