Will BCS titles be looked upon as AP titles of old are looked upon now? A flawed system that never really gave us a true champion?

until the big XII has a conference championship game, the playoff championships are worthless

Pretty much. Especially when you lose more than 1 game during that year.

Yep. Lets take all those crystal balls that all those people played and coached towards for an entire season and make them into something useful. Like a nice window for a church or something.

So the current system gives us a "true" champion? 5 power conferences fighting for 4 'playoff' spots guarantees that at LEAST one conference is not represented.

How is 2014 TCU different from the teams in the BCS era that felt they should get a shot but were left out?

Ap BCS and last night championship are good until
the next seasons championship .Past championships are as important as your high school G.P.A. something to be remembered but best left behind.

No, not immediately. It will take 20+ years.

The whole "my program played in a BCS bowl that wasn't the title game" bragging point did get shot to hell though.

They were the best we had to work with but the BCS would have given us FSU vs Alabama so right out of the gate they proved how flawed the old system was. Gumps would have begged for the old system. The new system won't let the media slob their knob and give them rematches they don't deserve as often.

Shut up already, you guys are so damn ignorant.

Was New England at 19-1 a better team than a 7 loss Giants team ? Playoffs are not the be all end all as pertaining to Titles.

Ignorant thinking.

I say we cut from the records any BCS bowl games that weren't the National Championship.

Undefeated BCS champions will be universally recognized, particularly in seasons with no other high level undefeated teams, champions with losses will be hotly contested and debated amongst the future generations

Will the 4 team playoff championships be deemed worthless when the format changes to 8? What if the expanded again after that?

This is a stupid fricking thread.
