What are your reasons for optimism for next year's football season?

For Auburn:

Muschamp should improve the defense.

Jeremy Johnson could very well have a breakout year, esp with Duke Williams returning.

Schedule looks much more favorable.

Robinson and Roc should make a good RB combo.

Lawson will be back, hopefully providing a pass rush.

Hopefully, Kozan makes a full recovery (this is more about the kid as a person than a team perspective)

Shon Coleman continues to improve and overcome his ordeal with cancer fully.

none so far.
Joe alleva is still our ad for now
Les miles is the head coach
bdp is still on the staff despite being a complete arse clown
cam has no clue how to bring a dual threat qb along or put him in a position to be successful
We have buga but Les refuses to let him be a work horse.

Got a DC that should improve our defense although we have a long way to go in that area.

Allen looked better each game.

Allen's 2nd year
Batman's 2nd year
Speedy's 2nd year

Only lose 2 key skill players and have depth at WR & RB
Reload at OL
Bringing in a stud JUCO S along with a strong class overall (Mack?)
Chavis
More likely to be healthy at LB
Finally get Mizzou off the schedule ;)

Kyle Field will be done
SECW takes a step back with LSU & State being worse

QBs being 1 year older if nothing else.

Handing A&M a straight up grenade of a DC.

Improved 2:00 drill defense resulting in 2-3 more close wins rather than losses.

Looks like we'll field an actual defense next year with the incoming recruits that are expected to have an immediate impact, particularly the JUCO's.

Really, really worried about the QB situation, though. Hoping like hell someone steps up in the spring.

Wish they had either let our DC go or hired someone to act as co-DC. I'm worried that, even with the talent that we'll be fielding, if Ward insists on running schemes that obviously do not work or is a scheme they were not recruited to play, that this coming year may be a mirror image of the last.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.
