I have really enjoyed reading this thread. I will be surprised if Mizzou does finish in the lower third of the SEC.
Mizzou has a good solid baseball team this year. The team has lots of fight in them. That is the hallmark of a very good team. The series against Texas A&M this weekend may well be the barometer to where the team will finish.

I'd be thrilled once again if we win 1 at A&M. We win more than that and I will officially be on board that this team is as good as their record is saying.

I think we can be better than:

UK
UGA
UT
Auburn
Arky

Team I think are ultimately ahead of us:

LSU
Vandy
SC
A&M
UF

Team we're probably neck and neck with:

OM
MSU
Bama

ETA - And that's if they're as good as they're record would make them seem.

That's a fair assessment. I am not sure what to think though about Texas A&M? Vanderbilt, Florida and LSU though are very good.

It was a brutal day yesterday for the SEC. So we weren't alone. I think only LSU, A&M and UF won. Everyone else lost to no names.

Good to see the bats break open.

Thanks for trrip who put this article up. 6' 8" LHP that throws mid-90's and may be a 1st round draft pick. Oh, and he's signed on at Mizzou if he doesn't go pro. Ya gotta wish the best for the kid and hope he goes high, but my heart won't be broken if he ends up in the black and gold.

To have a chance tonight, McClain is going to have to have another SEC Pitcher of the Week type performance. A&M's Saturday and Sunday pitchers have given up runs and on paper at least, probably give us our best opportunities for wins. Regardless, I'll be tuning in.

I will.

I'm really hoping that the approach brought by the freshmen will spread to others. Harris and Bond are leading this team in offense. Since they've stepped up, I've seen Lester's average go up about .50 points. Munson is still a .100 hitter no matter what. Man, we really could have used the other freshman Benes this year.

I heard it's gone fine, just being extremely cautious. Having said that, football players have come back faster. I think he had the surgery at least 12 months ago.

I wish I could remember where I read or heard it at, but I swear I heard it that he's hitting and crushing it. Seems I also heard an April return. Someone here might have said that.

I bounce into I guess it's his uncle (Alan Benes) from time to time whether at the cages or the ballpark. If I see him, I'll try to remember to ask.

At 12 months, depending on which surgery he had done, he should be close. They could use him.

Struck out on a ball thrown 58 feet and 3 feet outside. Not sure what he was swinging at. Lest up. 2 outs.
