Georgia. We at least looked competent there. LSU is a good team that I don't want to face again.

To be honest I liked us at the 6 seed last night. We would have played Missouri/SC in the first round. Then A&M on Friday.

The old saying is that it is really hard to beat the same team 3 times. So maybe it will be a good thing we play LSU or UGA.

But thinking back from a consistency standpoint, all our conference losses have been to tournament teams.

However the seeding shakes out, Summers has to show up for us to beat LSU or UGA.

Yeah that looked like two easy additional wins. Now we need to avoid the 5 spot and finish either 4 th or 6 th and we win the tiebreaker with AM but lose it to Georgia and LSU

Sec champ tourney 2015 empty bracket

I'm correcting myself we want to finish third. And with LSUs loss, and us holding the tiebreaker over Texas am, we currently sit in 3rd.

As long as we win against Vandy we will finish in 3 rd.

We therefore would probably play

Ms state/South Carolina. Vs #6 Georgia.

Assuming Georgia wins that game.

I'm predicting our first Sec game to be Georgia.
Win that and it would most likely be Arkansas.
Win that and championship game and revenge against Kentucky.

If you told me at the start of league play we would have a chance to finish 3rd I'd be excited.

It would be nice to beat Vandy and get a chance at Georgia again.

So, I didn't know that Isaiah Canaan was from Biloxi. He went to Murray State and now plays for the 76ers. Just recently dropped 31 points. Anybody know how we missed on this guy?

Murray State has more basketball history than us and can recruit better

Or maybe he was a late developer, not much in high school but really got good in college...?

Just looked up his bio. Actually just looks like a big miss by AK.

Before MSU: Outstanding talent from Biloxi High School, where he was a finalist for Mississippi Mr. Basketball honors after leading his Biloxi team to the 5A State Championship and a 30-3 record ... Was the Mississippi State Tournament MVP and was named All-State ... Was named to the finalist list for Gatorade Player of the Year ... As a senior at Biloxi, he scored 24 points per game and dished out seven assists per game ... Played in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game and was named his team’s MVP after scoring 18 points ... As a junior was named Mississippi All-State after scoring 20 points and seven assists per game ... The Clarion Ledger listed him among their Dandy Dozen.

He wasn't ranked on rivals and was only a 2 star on 247.

That probably just means he wasn't seen much on the AAU circuit. That's where all the evaluations happen now a days.
