Does anyone have any idea whats going on with his recruitment? It seems to me like things are still pretty open.

I wouldn't bet either way of course but I would as well. Seems like he loves UGA and pruitt and Chavis left, we have all that going for us, but Louisiana pride runs deep for most of those guys. Honestly wouldn't be surprised with him choosing either of us.

I think LSU fans are confident just because I can't recall LSU losing an instate recruiting battle to UGA, but who knows? UGA got a good head start on his recruitment.

Earlier it was really 50/50 UGA LSU, but since Tyron Johnson committed he said he was all over recruiting Donte (a close friend). If he committed earlier than Tyron it would have been a coin flip chance but the order of events makes him LSU's to lose.

I feel like it could go either way because he said he loves everything about UGA but he grew up an LSU fan and i'm sure everyone around him is trying to convince him to go to LSU.

Some on the LSU board posted a tweet with him saying if he was going to LSU he would already be committed to LSU. Therefore, he is heading to LSU.

From an outsiders perspective it looks wide open. Following his recruitment he seems enamored with Georgia, but LSU is right up the road and Athens is a long way away. It's going to come down to whether or not he wants to leave home. If I had to make a bet on it I'd go with LSU due to proximity

This is the only reason I think we have a chance. But you have to factor not having a DC as well. If LSU makes a splash with that hire it could be over.... But I think Pruitt has really sold him on being a top guy in his defense.

I think one of his high school coaches is in his ear about Georgia and family is LSU. If LSU has a new DC when he visits I think he commits that weekend, Corey Raymond and Frank Wilison are his main recruiters.

I check on the recruiting board pretty often and I gotta say this just never happened. He did tweet something saying that LSU wasn't way out in front, which sounded more like a guy that wanted to keep the excitement there for his commitment. But yea I'm pretty certain he's never stated anything near what y'all are referring to.

Unless something has changed, he is OVing to UGA on the 16th, committing the 21st, and OVing to LSU on the 23rd. Mind you, those dates were set back in November so it's hard to say if that's indicative of anything

UGA might not get Jackson, but Coach Pruitt is laying a great foundation for future recruiting success in LA! I know a few of the kids and they absolutely love him!

Too be honest I think he was holding out for that 5th star, but I do think he really likes UGA.

I am no recruiting expert and I don't have any "sources" but a good number of kids grow up knowing this is a chance to get out of Louisiana and see a different part of the country. On the other side state pride runs deep here in Louisiana and kids love to rep the boot. With all that being said based on Jackson's situation I think it is similar to Lorenzo Carters. There is a real chance he could end up at UGA but end the end he sticks with the home team.

yes.

But it helps us a lot that we have both Lewis and Johnson now.

He's a pretty good LSU lean. I'd put it at 60-40. Just my opinion

If Tyron Johnson had gone elsewhere I could see him going to UGA but I think Johnson and Fournette and some of the other big time NOLA guys get him to stay home.
