Not sure if Germans, but some notes from Enos' teleconference from 247

quote:

Here's some of the things Enos had to say.

**I want to say how excited my family and I are to be a part of the Arkansas family. Excited to get there and get started.

**I had a great job and it would take just an unbelievable opportunity to get me to leave. I have coached against, recruited against and played against Coach Bielema and I have a lot of respect for him as a person and coach.

**There will be give and take on what we plan to do on offense compared to what they did here last year.

**Coach B and I both felt like this was a great fit. We have very similar offensive philosophies. We will be very multiple and diverse

**When we got there in 2010 there was one TE there and no fullbacks. It was difficult but in 2012 we started to transition into what we wanted to become. We were a lot of one back until then.

**Recruiting is about relationships. About building a relationship. Evaluation is very very important in recruiting. You have to make sure you are bringing in the best person in your program. You are a good recruiter if you are selling a good product and that is what is like it is to work for Coach Bielema.

**On Monday I will be there and then go on road recruiting.

**There was a discussion at the convention about me coming there. It moved very quickly after that. The more I was around Coach Bielema the more comfortable I was with him. Blue Collar, great person.

**As a head coach I had a boss there. I am a team player and it will be easy transition to go to assistant coach. I know my role and will fulfill it best I can. That won't be an issue at all.

**Bret was a very good player, tough. I remember every time we lined up against Iowa it was a very physical football game.

**SEC is the mecca of conferences. I have recruited some in Florida and Texas. I am looking forward to branching out in recruiting. I am looking forward to not shoveling snow.

**Bret talked to me about the personnel coming back. Brandon Allen excites me. 18 TDs and only 5 interceptions. He's a senior. I am looking forward to meeting Brandon. Two backs who rushed for over a 1,000 yards, the OL are big, Henry at TE, I am looking forward to getting to know these guys.

I hope we keep those tight WR/TE formations where you have two WR's/TE's on each side of the formation close to the line, QB under center, and a RB in the backfield. It seemed to be pretty effective.

fwiw a common CMU message board complaint was that Enos was entirely too vanilla with his playcalling. we will see what he an do with our personnel - if he can improve brandon allen and out defense holds, vanilla should be good enough.

I believe they ran a spread with their previous two coaches and he switched it to a pro style.

This right here gives me a chub. I'm ridiculously excited to see what he can do with the guys we have.

And our complaint was that we weren't vanilla enough. Seems perfect to me.

I'm more interested in how he does after Allen, the two 1000 yard rushers, and Henry leave.

I'm willing to bet even Chaney would of had success with the talent we got coming back next year

Sure he would. He had decent success with our talent this year, until we got into the second half against SEC teams.

Chaney isn't a bad OC. He isn't just setting the world on fire at the position either though. He's a good coach with some smarts that will be a good fit for someone. That place just isn't here.
