LSU may have missed a window on Kevin Steele

..while they concentrated on some other targets. Meanwhile, Steele was proving he is every bit the big game recruit hunter as Orgeron in landing the number 1 rb in the country in Damien Harris. As a Bama fan I am happy but as an all but one day a year(Or two some years) LSU fan they missed a good DC hire in Steele.
LSU has three HS recruits committed on D with under a month left until NSD. Every day they do not wrangle one they not only lessen the chance of the guys high up on the board but increase the chance that Will Muschamp or Odell Haggins make a last minute run at a guy like Toliver when dead period ends

So we should have hired a guy who is recruiting RBs?

I count 4. Well 1 has already signed so i guess technically you are right.
Isnt tolliver in the process of moving to BR right now? Doesnt he start school in like 3 days?

No, it was more a comment on the LSU folks who are sold on Orgeron due to his general recruiting prowess.
Steele is no slam dunk but I think he has learned some valuable lessons as he has aged

Wait why would a defensive guy recruit runningbacks?

Poor guys whiffed on a chance at Doug Mallory as well..

coaches normally recruit a state or region, not just the position they coach. do you even follow or understand recruiting??

O is from Louisiana which is why everyone wants him
not to mention he said on 104.5 that it's his dream job

did you not read the OP?
i think we all know that. But OP mentioned only 4 defensive recruits, then followed up with citing a recent RB recruit. Made no sense.
