Well, it made the eyes a little misty. Me and the wife just watched it and just had a conversation about how much he drank that night and why. Over a 4 hour time period, he would have had to drink over 24 units of alcohol. I just don't see him drinking to that extent, at least I don't want to believe so. Maybe his liver wasn't functioning properly. Either way, it sucks. I wish that night could have gone differently.

I knew him pretty well and had gotten pretty wasted with him...24 "units" sounds excessive for anyone though but it's not like he died of alcohol poisoning

I legitimately forget Lutz is dead every couple of months and get reminded of it. Still doesn't seem real.

True, it's a fruitless conversation. But we can all learn something from it and thank him for his time on earth and contributions. I don't know anyone that wasn't touched by his passing.

The planet needs more human beings like him.

God, I miss that guy.

I still feel weird even knowing his BAC considering he wasn't the driver.

I get why the police would collect it, just still feels invasive being public knowledge considering he wasn't the driver.

It's invasive for sure, but for 90% of people it doesn't tarnish his legacy and serves as an example of caution. This thread wouldn't be here if he had worn his seatbelt.

Man you never went out as a young man and got obliterated? I did a few times. At least Lutz had some sense not to drive, but forgot to wear a seat belt.

The problem when everybody is drinking in your party is even when trying to be "responsible" you put the least drunk person behind the wheel, but they are still a drunk.

Stupid and tragic. As sad as these deaths were, at least they didnt kill anyone innocent.

It would not be a good Auburn related piece without someone committing to the University of Auburn.
