It should really say more that the thermostat is from the 70's instead of what the temp is on.

That thing is either abandoned or controlling something other than the HVAC system...like an exhaust fan or something. The entire campus has a state if the art energy management system and that ain't part of it......

My thermostat is set on 69 and I'm in PJ pants, long sleeve shirt, hoodie, comforter, and extra blanket. I'm freezing.
Now..in the summer I like sleeping in a cold room. that's awesome. But I can't do it when it's 10 degrees outside.

I used to need it freezing but now I am just like you. I usually keep it at 69 but lately I have been freezing my nuts off so I went ahead and bumped it to 70. Some nights like tonight I am rocking shorts and shirt. Other nights I am sweats and hoodie. It's weird.
I also realized the other day I had a jacket on top of my thermostat (didn't realize the readings were done there) and I also put a lamp by it. Had it set to 70 and couldn't understand why I was freezing my arse off
