What would you do in this scenario

scenario:
You wake up in the middle of the night to a loud crash in your house. It's two methed/cracked out burglars. What do you do?
A. Call the police, hide under your bed.
B. Walk in with a baseball bat try to scare them off.
C. Eliminate the threat, call the police.(and how)
I know I will get a lot of RANTesq answers but I would like some honesty from some.

You do not fire a weapon at someone unless you fear you life is in danger. Any judge worth his degree will ask why you shot the intruder in the knees if you felt you were in danger. The correct answer to said judge is "I missed"

Grab my gun, get on my knee, flip on the hall light. Decide from there. Some depends on where noise came from. I have kids, so hiding isn't an option. bat is .

i'd obviously go with c. i'd throw the phone to the intruder if he were still breathing, and let him make that 911 call. my first call would be to my laywer, younger brother, and best friend to get a 3 lawyer read on the situation before i made any effort to call the cops. i'd call local rescue long before the po-po, but the lasermax dot says i ain't missing if they don't immediately hit the floor in fear.

I wouldn't confront them. I don't have a gun. I would call the cops and hide. Maybe I should invest in a gun.

Wife calls cops. I defend the stair well to the family upstairs with the ball bat. Dog eats the motherfrickers alive. I have service masters come clean up the remaining mess.
Seriously, thats how that would play out. We have a 130 lb lab/newfoundland mix who does NOT like strangers and is highly protective of my wife and kids.
