Trent Richardson
Mark Barron
Dre Kirkpatrick
Dont'a Hightower
Courtney Upshaw

Looks like Hightower turned out to be the best one, got a few all pro votes this year. T-Rich is a major bust. Barron seemed solid for a while. He's made some splash plays in St. Louis, so maybe if he is a starter next year and they get him in that role they like, he could turn it around, but he hasn't been very good.

Dre K hasn't done much of anything, but has looked good as of late.

Upshaw is solid against the run.

Who did you think was gonna be the best of the bunch? I was sure T-Rich was gonna be a top 3 back.

I don't know, but that doesn't make him good

He's played well the last few weeks, but he's mostly rode the bench.

He played on the fricking Buccaneers. Of course his career went to shite. Way better off with the Rams though.

Barron is a box safety with some stiff hips, doesn't have the range to keep up with a lot of guys.

I would say "oh but that's OBJ, he's too good", but Barron was a top 10 pick

Kirkpatrick has been really, really good when he's healthy. The light turned on for him. He's matched up and played well against some really good receivers. Wouldn't surprise me if he outright wins a starting job next year. Don't know Newmans contract situation but even if he's back I think Dre wins the job.

Talking about this year. Yea he didn't look great in year one or two, not everyone is a pro bowler as a rookie though. The bust label is always thrown around way too soon.

Mark Barron was overshadowed in Tampa by Gerald McCoy and Lavonte David but was 2nd on the team in tackles the last 3 years, and it's hard to lead a team in tackles when the best 4-3 OLB in the league plays on the same team. He was traded because he didn't fit Lovie's D scheme for a S

Dre K had injury problems but has had a breakout yr

Hightower is awesome

Courtney Upshaw is on a team of defensive studs so it's hard to stand out but he has had a positive impact for most of his NFL career

I'm still hoping Trent can turn it around and have a resurgence the way Marshawn Lynch did, he's that same type of RB but Lynch had the perfect opportunity fall into his lap

Upshaw has been a beast in the NFL, any Ravens fan will tell you that.

I thought Hightower would be the best as long as he played in a 3-4. Has the prototypical size and pedigree

I was not sold on Trent being a great RB in the league but by no means could I have seen this coming.

Dre needs to stay healthy and keep progressing. Upshaw has found his niche with a nasty defense.

Barron is a mystery to me. I've seen him make some great plays and I've seen him abused as well. Hopefully that Rams pass rush will help him out.

Barron was the top rated OLB the nation out of hs. Saban turned him into monster safety.

Trent needs to play on a team that runs a read run offense. Neither team he has played for does that. I don't think he will ever be great but given the right team with the read run, he could be much better than he has shown.
