LSU gets to claim the 1935 basketball championship because ya'll claim football championships in the 60's.
LSU has won at least 1 national championship each in football, basketball and baseball..
LSU has won at least 10 sec championships each in football, basketball, and baseball.

Well it's not like we're the only ones that recognize them. The NCAA recognizes our 1960 title.

The NCAA recognizes 60 for Ole Miss and 64 for Arkansas. Y'all claiming 35 in basketball is no different than Alabama's 41 claim.

Is it true that the property LSU sits on in Baton Rouge used to be a slave plantation in the 1800's?

Same with track and field...LSU has done well with the four "oldest" college sports.
Others schools have had their moments in the four older sports. Tennessee has also won national titles/double-digit number of SEC titles in football and track. Bama and Georgia did it each in football, UK in basketball, and Arky in track...Big Six.

No. You are confused. You are thinking about cross-town Southern University.

It was a plantation, don't know the whole story though. I'm going to guess yes.

No, LSU cliaming 1935 is like every school that claims a past football national championship now that the playoffs have started.
Does everyone go back to zero championships in footballnow?
LSU played in a post season game billed as American Legion Bowl National Championship game where they beat Pitt.

More importantly, that 1935 title is not 'claimed', it was awarded by virtue of winning a championship game.

LSU is already claiming one for the 07-08 season when they lost to two unranked teams so what's new? The last one coming on the final regular season game at home. Champions don't lose at home on senior day but losers do.

You're not making a clear point.
LSU was awarded a championship in basketball in 1935 after winning the national championship game against Pitt in Atlantic City. They were invited to play in that game by virtue of going 14-1 during the regular season and winning the SEC title that year.
I'm sorry if that rustles your miniscule jimmies.
