This is why I'm going to be tuned in to this thing. Yeah, they're not the same team as last year, but we haven't been remotely tested this weekend. We've got a fair amount of freshmen and transfers playing right now and a road win against a solid squad would do a lot for confidence and morale heading into the FSU series. If we can take 2/3 from FSU, it'll be fricking on.

EIU baseball isn't much, but it's always good to make easy work of the teams we should beat.
Kennesaw State was ranked as high as 19th in one preseason publication, should be a nice test for this squad.

Why? I'm right next to Kennesaw State. The roads are fine. not even wet.

There are a lot of trees down across the area right now.
However, it might have more to do with the fact that at 6pm it will be near freezing with windchills in the low 20s and only getting worse as the night goes on

The FSU series has turned into a double header on Saturday, no game on Sunday. Game 1 is at Noon, Game 2 is at 430

FSU @ 5pm today! Lets see if we can score some runs on a team with a pulse. FSU should be comparable to most of the SEC teams we will play this year

Agreed. Hopefully pitching Tyler tonight will give us a decent look at our bats before heading into the double header tomorrow. Seems like we're playing with a lot more power this year, but I'm not sure if that's eastern Illinois with bad pitching or what. Hoping McGovern emerges as a Poythress clone and can abuse the right field short porch. Also curious to see more of our relief pitching against greater tests than what eiu could offer. Need to see cheek dominate and hopefully we'll see mancuso get in and tucker will continue to look dominant. Lot of potential in this group

2-1 Noles in the 6th. Just went yet another inning stranding bases loaded. So close but we're not striking the death blows like we need to

Scott Stricklin just took the first base ump to town for completely blowing a beautiful bunt play by Nick King. Would have been bases loaded and King was safe by a good margin.
