Dawgs break the 4 game losing streak and earn their first conference victory with a 2-1 win over the Vols.
Jared Walsh gets the W with 8Ks and is currently leads the SEC with a 0.96 ERA.
Bo Tucker comes in in relief and throws 6 strikeouts and earns his first career save.
Mike Bell hit his 3rd homer of the year, a 2-run shot early in the game that would wind up being the game winner.
Dawgs are now 13-9 overall, 1-3 in the SEC

Trevor Kieboom lays down a 2 out out bunt with runners on the corners and, thanks to a UTk throwing error, it turns into a bases-clearing triple.
Dawgs lead 5-1 in the bot 8th.
Ryan Lawlor ends his day with 7 innings pitched, 7Ks, only 2 hits and 1 run. He and Walsh hae really stepped up this weekend after UGA had 4 games of miserable pitching.

Avidano gives up a 1 out 3 run blast. Had 2 strikes and left it hanging over the plate. Vols batter jumped all over it and hit it deep beyond right field.
Dawgs still lead in the 8th but only 5-4.

Vols totally unravel and the Dawgs explode in the top of the 9th. What started as a 5-4 lead has turned into a 7 run inning for the Dawgs. Thanks to 3 errors by the Vols and a couple of bases clearing doubles, the Dawgs now lead 12-4 in the bottom of the 9th.
UTk has 6 errors on the day but other than a bad inning by Avidano, the Dawgs have played a masterful game.

Dawgs win 12-7 and take the series against the Vols.
Zach Waters came in to close out the 9th and gave up a 2 out, 3 run homer to left center but managed to get the final out thereafter.
In other significant news, Mizzou has now taken the series against USCe and go for the sweep tomorrow. So, maybe it's not that we suck too bad but that Mizzou is pretty damn good. Oh yeah, we lost to Mercer bu over 10 runs.

Dawgs up 2-0 on a Nichols HR in the 2nd inning of Game 3. Going for the sweep today.

Nichols returns to the plate in the 3rd with bases loaded and 1 out. He shoots a single up the middle, scoring 2 and the Dawgs now lead 4-0

Dawgs starting to waiver a bit in the Bottom of the 6th.
Coming into the inning up 6-1, we have given up a leadoff triple followed by a double. Now up 6-2 with a runner in scoring position and nobody out.

Dawgs add two more. Up 8-2 in the 8th. Good to see the bats come alive with the pitchin down. Would be impressive to sweep a weekend road series with two of our best pitchers out

Jared Walsh continues a monstrous weekend with a solo shot in the 9th. Dawgs up 10-3.
I think, without question, Walsh and Wrenn are our two best players right now with Brandon Stephens a very close 3rd. Bowers has flashes at time with his power and Nick King goes on runs.
When our pitching is healthy, we're a pretty good team. Bullpen has been struggling, though, as we've had to pull pitchers to start for Sosebee and Tyler

Damn. Mercer definitely has our number. We road sweep tennessee to come home and get embarrassed by another SoCon team
