Did the grease from Popeyes cause the dropped balls and/or affect Blake Simms' release when tOSU throttled bama?

I remember seeing a pic of Adrian Peterson eating wings in NO before the 2010 NFCCG when he fumbled. The 5 star gumps were all talking Popeyes in the segment during the LSU-ND game.

Subtle racism not so subtle?

There is a Popeyes in Tuscaloosa... There is so much better food in Nola. Can't believe they kept talking about it like they did

Leading up to the game some of the Bama players mentioned loving popeye's. So no, not racist at all.

eta: perhaps y'all are racist for implying that african-american's loving fried chicken is racist..

Y'all should load up on Popeye's coupons. Might be able to hire a coach with em.

I was wondering why they kept talking about Popeye's Chicken. One of them even said that his favorite thing about New Orleans and going to the Sugar Bowl was Popeye's.

Did you not hear the interviews with bammer players before the game? Many of them said Popeye's was the best thing about New Orleans

Since Popeyes changed hands it has gone down hill. Now Bojangles makes some good arse chicken. However, I doubt the biscuits and mashed taters and gravy of Popeyes will ever be eclipsed. Churches is bad and KFC is downright terrible. The best chicken in New Orleans is at Willie Maes, no doubt.

really? It was a one score game. Bama had the ball with a chance to tie at the end of the game. By your logic, Bama "throttled" LSU in Tiger Stadium this year.

This is true! Even my wife who hates football was saying, "what the frick?" They are in New Orleans and all of the players are saying Popeyes??? Granted Popeyes is pretty damn good but when it comes to New Orleans eating I damn sure ain't mentioning Popeyes!!
