I was not thrilled when we hired him last year and seeing how we've played under him, I'm still not thrilled.

When he left, I thought it would be good for both him and UGA. I think he started to lose his edge when he got passed over for the DC job in favor of Grantham.
UGA's DL play and recruiting under Wilson and Rocker has picked up since Garner left, no question about it.

The bigger issue with Garner is that he seemed like he was starting to phone it in with recruiting. That was the biggest asset he brought, IMO, and Lilly, Ball, McClendon, and Bobo all passed him by on the recruiting trail.

You shouldn't be thrilled, IMO. His DL never exactly overachieved at UGA. Crow has it right, both parties were best off splitting.

I was happy to see him go. It seemed like he was sabotaging our recruiting. Please see Davin Bellamy as proof.
He definitely lost his edge and was no longer the bagman that he had been at UT and earlier in his career at UGA.

I hated when UT lost him to UGA because of his recruiting. That has always been where his biggest contribution was.

Nope he's all yours I'm pretty sure and that was 2 years ago FYI....
