How many NIT "Final Four(s)" has your team been to?

LSU has been to one, after the 1969-1970 season. This was in the era when only one team from a conference could participate in the NCAAs,so this was pretty awesome.

The NIT used to be bigger than the NCAA tournament.

Anything post-32 team NCAA era NIT related is pointless.

In terms of discussing as an accomplishment years after the fact? They are.
They are good for certain situations, ala Arkansas this season or a young team like Tennessee getting bowl practices and another game against a decent opponent. But that's it.

NIT bigger than NCAAT? Not after 1930.

There wasn't an NCAA tourney in 1930. NIT was a bigger deal until the late 40's and equal until 1951 or 1952 when the fixing scandals out of NY broke.
