Tennessee Jed used to be the master troll. People used to get trolled so hard. He actually makes serious posts now. I don't know what's gotten into him.

Their better posters saw through it but many of them got butthurt over typical bullshite in the long Richmond thread on the recruiting board.
There was also some dick measuring over Kyle Phillips. One of their posters who they think has some inside knowledge came out ~2 months ago and said don't listen to anything you hear, Phillips is a rebel lock and they believed him

There was a lot of "We own Tennessee" talk coming from them a few months ago.
Looks pretty foolish now. Richmond obviously is a big time get but Ordway and Givens were not takes for UT.

Even one of my good friends whose usually smart regarding recruiting bought his bullshite. At the time I wouldntve been shocked if KP had ended up at OM but this idea that it was a done deal bc that retard said it was was laughable to me

Damn I never once heard a whisper regarding Phillips to OM. So yeah it's pretty shocking that they'd believe he was a lock based on the word of one guy. Maybe their recruiting beat writers paint a rosier picture than ours do? Ours tend to be solid and incredibly conservative when it comes to predictions and as such we don't tend to get a lot of false hope about recruits. If their beat writers were overly optimistic and pumping sunshine about OM's chances on Phillips that could explain some of it.
