So could someone explain to me why anyone should give a single frick about Chavis going to A&M?

-He is now apart of an offense oriented and recruited, B12 defense playing team...

-He now has less talent across the board on defense then he ever did at LSU..
(His D sucked the past few years at LSU, why do you think it will be any better with worse players? And don't give me that "he led you to the #1 defense" bs, we watched LSUs defense lose the UGA and Ole Miss games in 13, State, Auburn, Bama, and ND games in 14.)

-Now LSU will have a recruiting threat at DC, unlike the lazy slug that is Chavis.

Be thrilled Aggies, now rather than losing games by 52 points, you'll only lose by 40 or so!

LSU had a proven DC. Now we have no DC. That is the main issue.

You're doing an excellent job of not giving a single "frick" about it. Keep melting.

How did we go from an A&M implosion to an LSU implosion so quickly

This board is so fricking dumb now. Every response is:
a.) something about "melt"
b.) a score from a previous game
c.) some "you mad" comment

How about conversing like men instead of acting like fricking 10 year olds

Eta: in the 2 minutes it took to type this comment, look at the responses. I really wish the admins here would clean this stupid shite up.

They screwed up contract negotiations with their former top 5 DC

That's how

We had a known commodity that would not have been a flight risk if we had a semi-competent AD. He was a very good DC for us.

You are a dumbass if you think introducing this new uncertainty into the program is a good thing.

Sure thing, pal. There are a handful of reasons:

1) your DC left for a lateral move, in division. This should always concern any team unless the DC was fired or going to be fired (not the case with 3rd & Chavis)

2) If LSU fans are to be believed, the reason he left is that you got outbid by TAMU. This makes it seem like you're cheap which should cause concern, particularly since Chavis had been at LSU and productive for so long. If LSU isn't going to pay that guy, they certainly aren't going to pay the new guy a ton (or so perception might indicate).

3) IF TAMU fans are to be believed, he left b/c he was tired of your putrid offense. If that's true, it means he doesn't anticipate it getting better next year. That should concern you as an LSU fan if, in fact, your DC feels this way. He's as connected to the program as anyone and would have first hand knowledge leading to that opinion.

Maybe he is also tired of LSU juniors leaving for the NFL all of the time since that is the culture that Coach Miles put in place.

What is it three LSU defensive players heading to the NFL now that are underclassmen? Then add in all of the other early leaves over the last couple of years.

LSU is fading.

I think they played those negotiations perfectly by refusing to bend and give more money to an employee that didn't deserve it. You don't get a pay increase for getting worse at your job.

1.) Or the DC is just a non loyal money hungry piece of shite.

2.) see #1

3.) no one in their right mind thinks LSUs offense will be any worse. When you lose your entire offense (96% of the yards from 2013 to be exact), you tend to take a step back.

The last time LSU fielded a defense worth a damn was in 2011. And I could have led those players to being an elite defense.

You missed my favorite one:

Sumlin the recruiting wizard will use this to make it look like LSU's ship is sinking to recruits. I expect us to get at least three or four 4* or better talents in the next few years that would have gone to LSU, starting with Mack.
