Help Me Hate Chavis LSU/Tenn Fans

So for almost a week now I have been expecting a melt in Tigerland, but instead the story is how glad yall are to get rid of that bum Chavis and how you can't wait to upgrade. Yall have all these reasons for being happy that Chavis is gone, so many that as an A&M fan I feel like I should feel like we got screwed.
So LSU fans, I need your help- help me understand why hiring Chavis was a huge mistake on our part!
I keep hearing 3rd and Chavis, which I assume means he lets teams get first downs on third and long sometimes. I can't find fault in this, as an Aggie I will be glad to not give up huge gain, momentum killing, first and second down plays. No 50 yard touchdowns on first or second down? Sign me up.
The other big complaint is that Chavis will let teams score at the end of the game. I also don't get this complaint at all. Is it because he doesn't let them score fast enough so you don't get enough time left on the clock for your final score? In Texas football usually the last one who has the ball wins, I don't see why Chavis should be hated for that here.
So tell me LSU fans, without appropriating your 1965 mentality that defense should win every game, how can I hate Chavis? Will it take us having the worst offense in the SEC that can't average 30 points a game for me to understand why I should hate our new defensive coordinator?
Thanks for your help.
Edit: I would love the thoughts of Tenn fans too.

It's not a bad hire.
He's a top DC. Period. Don't care what anyone else says.
He showed class and consistency while at LSU.
His only problem is age and when he wants to retire (and that he doesn't do interviews often ). But he is an incredible DC and I was sad to see him leave.

You can ask Tennessee fans too. Or are you just trying to troll LSU?

Because it seems like if Bama takes the lead and you have say 48 seconds left then its on the offensive coordinator if you lose that game.

But the coordinator for the other team isn't playing a mustang package.

Every scheme has its weaknesses. Most LSU fans are focusing on Chavis' because they are angry.

No, I am not trying to troll LSU fans. This is actually a great question, I almost opened it up to Tenn fans.
The only reason I didn't open it to Tenn fans was because Chavis was a defensive coordinator for them in another era of football- an era where the Oregons of the world can't even have a shot at the national title. It would make sense if way back in 2008 they still thought that you should win games with your defense only.
But heck, Tenn fans are good football fans. Maybe them kept up with modern trends. In that case I invite them to join the conversation.

That is what the HUNH is for.

Duckie, way to not get trolled
You'll get a good replacement, LSU has too much talent and money to not find a top tier guy. If they don't, Miles should go

Agreed, and I get that right now LSU fans want to be hyper critical of the guy who left. With that said, there is a LOT of enthusiasm for change on TigerRant at a position where LSU led the SEC.
As an A&M fan I am used to overspending for an overhyped coach that doesn't live up to expectations. I am not trying to troll anyone. I am just trying to get an idea of exactly how our millions will be wasted.

If you aren't scoring 30 points a game, you are doing it wrong in modern football. 48 seconds is plenty of time, maybe too much if they have a few timeouts.
None of that has to do with Chavis though.
So again- why should I hate the man?

Eh, I wish he didn't leave. Replacing experienced staff is always tough. Surely you don't expect message board posters to just wish the man well.
Y'all wanted Sumlin fired like 2 weeks ago too, so surely you understand fans being emotional in the moment.

This is true, but Chavis' philosophy was the same. He prefers speed over size. He'll change safeties to linebackers and corners to safeties. Guys like Eric Westmoreland and Eric Berry are good examples from his Tennessee days. At LSU, its Michael Brockers (DE to DT), Jalen Mills, and Brandon Taylor.
A&M will start to see a different kind of athlete. They will be smaller, but faster, more athletic, and they will fly to the football as a unit.
This philosophy has its weaknesses, though.
