Has the state of Alabama brought the SEC down?

With the bias in scheduling, overlooked of penalties and the benefit of the doubt given to them on most close calls, they have not been tempered as much as other SEC schools who have to overcome these obstacles to make it to the national championship game in years past. When you combine this with their hording of the top recruits, many of whom ride the bench, and others who are just there to collect their NC trophy without ever expecting to have to put in the work and earn it, you end up with teams representing the SEC that are not the best we can offer. Then you couple that with a fan base that has consistently made national news for outrageous unethical and sometimes criminal behavior, you end up where we are – no SEC NCs two years in a row, poor bowl performance conference wide and the rest of the country celebrating the demise of the SEC.
Something has to change.
