This will wind up being a long list, please feel free to contribute. I'll start it off. Nick Saban has a 8-8 record (.500). I added the winning percentages for the Gumps to understand.

Phillip Fulmer 8-7 (.533)
Gene Chizik 3-0 (1.000)
Terry Bowden 2-1 (.667)
Steve Spurrier 11-10 (.524)
Les Miles 7-6 (.538)
Urban Meyer 8-2 (.800)
Mark Richt 9-5 (.643)
Lou Holtz 12-8-2 (.600)
Sylvester Croom 1-0 (1.000)
Dan Mullen 3-2 (.600)
Hugh Freeze 2-1 (.667)
Gary Pinkel 7-4 (.636)
Pete Carroll 6-2 (.750)
Bear Bryant 15-12-2 (.555)
Jimbo Fisher 4-1 (.800)
Mark Helfrich 2-0 (1.000)
Pat Dye 7-2-1 (.777)
Tommy Tuberville 7-4 (.636)
Kevin Sumlin 4-1 (.800)
Dennis Franchione 4-3 (.571)

Before this turns into a troll thread it is interesting. Saban is the best I have ever seen when his team is superior, they rarely ever have let down games. But when the field is even, he is almost what some would call below average. Saban is now 8-11 vs top 10 teams(end of the year rankings) while at Bama

His habit of losing in the Sugar Bowl is bothersome but since he's 4-0 in NC games I try to overlook it.

Did I say that? No. It is simply true that vs other top teams he loses a good amount. 8-12 is pretty bad. For example, Pete Carrol was 14-5 vs top 10 teams. However, Pete had 9 losses vs unranked teams, vs Saban only having 3

Where'd you find that. What I'm looking at has him 19-12 against ranked teams at the end of the season since 2007.

I don't like Saban, but this is pathetic. Tell us the exhibition records for all NFL coaches. I bet some of the best coaches have the worst records.

Again, where'd you find this? I'd be interested in seeing other coaches' records.

I assume he's talking about percentage, but that doesn't make him any less stupid.

Interesting. Carroll lost to a lot of unranked teams.

Yep. That was my point. Saban is the GOAT at not letting his team have lapses or letdowns when they are the better more talented team(which is normally the case). However, when the playing field seems to be even he loses more than he wins. Carrol at 14-5 is freaking elite against the top 10. But his frat boy coaching style gave him NINE losses vs unranked teams
